YouTube video SEO score
Paste a video link to get an SEO score out of 100. It checks the title, keyword placement, description, chapters, hashtags, tags, captions and how engaged viewers are, and tells you what to fix first.
Public YouTube data only. Nothing you look up is stored
The score uses rules of thumb from YouTube's creator advice. It can't see watch time or click-through rate, which matter most, so use it as a checklist, not a ranking promise.
How it works
The tool reads the video's public details from the official YouTube Data API and runs about 15 checks. Is the title 20 to 70 characters? Does the main keyword appear early in the title, in the first lines of the description and in the tags? Is the description full, with chapters and links? Are there 1 to 3 hashtags, captions and a set language? How many viewers like and comment?
Each check has a weight, and the score is the share of points the video earns. The checks that failed are listed first, so you know what to fix.
Questions people ask
Will a higher score rank my video higher?
Not on its own. YouTube ranks mostly on what viewers do: whether they click, keep watching and come back. A good score means search and viewers can understand what the video is about, which helps the right people find it.
Which keyword does it check?
The one you type. If you leave the box empty, it uses the video's first tag, which is usually the creator's main keyword.
Can I check videos that aren't mine?
Yes. Any public video works, so you can compare your video with the ones ranking above it.
